Heisei VHSYour privacy matters. Heisei VHS is designed to do as little tracking as possible, and to process your images entirely on your device.
Images stay on your device
Image rendering and export happen locally via WebAssembly on your device. We do not upload your photos, your previews, or your exported GIF/MP4 files to any server.
What we do not collect
We do not require an account, do not collect personal information, do not store your filter parameters on any server, and do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Anonymous analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics (such as page view counts and aggregated country information) to understand which presets and pages are most useful. These analytics never include your image, parameters, or anything personally identifying.
Local storage on your device
Some user preferences (for example your last selected preset, theme, or device tier hint) may be stored in local storage on your device. You can clear this at any time from your device or app settings.
Third-party services
Sharing buttons that open X (Twitter) or other social networks will send a request to those third parties when used, governed by their own privacy policies.
